CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — Traffic delays are expected on U.S. Route 50 in Clarksburg on Wednesday.

According to a press release from the West Virginia Division of Highways, one lane of Route 50 will be closed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18. The closure will be on the eastbound side between mile markers 77.5 and 79.5, which is between the W Pike Street and Joyce Street exits in Clarksburg.

The closure will be while crews replace a crash barrier. The WVDOH said that drivers should expect delays and allow additional time for their commutes accordingly.

This comes just weeks after months-long lane closure on the same stretch of road while crews replaced the expansion dam at the Elk Creek Bridge.
