GRAFTON, W.Va. (WBOY) — Just days after Ritchie County banned all outdoor burning , another West Virginia county is following suit.

In a Facebook post, the Grafton Fire Department announced the Taylor County Commission has placed an outdoor burn ban to go into effect “immediately.”

“All outdoor burning is prohibited in Taylor County until further notice of the Taylor County Commission,” the post states.

North central West Virginia counties aren’t the only ones putting burn bans into effect. Multiple southern counties, Calhoun , Jackson , Lincoln , Mason and Kanawha , have also implemented bans, according to WBOYs sister station WOWK 13 News.
