MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — Pennsylvania Avenue in Morgantown will be closed until further notice beginning Monday to allow for a water line replacement.

A Facebook post from the Morgantown Utility Board states that the project “requires that all street-parked vehicles be removed from 428 to 451 Pennsylvania Avenue.” Those who continue to park in the area could be towed at the owner’s expense.

The post also said that the area will be closed until further notice, including overnight, and that the work is necessary as the lines have experienced “multiple leaks.” The work is being done before paving in Morgantown begins.

In total, crews will replace “a combined 1,335-feet of 2-inch and 4-inch water line with 6-inch PVC” according to the post.
