    1 transported after Harrison County house fire

    GYPSY, W.Va. (WBOY) — One person was transported from the scene of a fire in Harrison County over the weekend.

    A Facebook post from the Nutter Fort Fire Department said that at 6:51 a.m. on Sunday multiple crews were alerted to a structure fire on 2nd Street in Gypsy. It was initially reported to be in Lumberport due to a “CAD validation error.”

    Crews arrived at the scene of a “single-story dwelling well involved” in less than three minutes, the post said. One advanced life support patient was transported by ambulance to the United Hospital Center, the post said. No other injuries were reported.

    Lumberport, Shinnston, Spelter, Bridgeport, Worthington and Monongah fire departments, along with the Harrison County Emergency Squad and the WV State Fire Marshals Office, responded to the incident.
