Supplier from Michigan caught on camera distributing fentanyl in Fairmont: Task Force

FAIRMONT, W.Va. (WBOY) — A Michigan man was arrested in Fairmont for the second time this year after he was allegedly caught on camera distributing fentanyl.

On Sept. 24, a transaction between Tristan Thomas, 50, of Redford Charter Township, Michigan—a suburb of Detroit—and “an intermediate supplier in Fairmont,” was recorded via camera and audio, according to a criminal complaint filed by the Fairmont Police Department.

Thomas is “a known out of state source for illicit narcotics in Marion County,” the complaint said.

Members of the Three Rivers Drug Task Force were able to obtain the substance after it was redistributed, and it field tested positive for the presence of fentanyl, according to the complaint.

“Thomas transports bulk quantities which are then redistributed through a network of intermediary supplies,” officers said in the complaint.

Thomas was booked in the North Central Regional Jail on Sept. 26 and charged with felony delivery of fentanyl and conspiracy. He is being held on $400,012 bail.

Thomas was also arrested in Fairmont back in June after task force members searched a home that he allegedly used to store drugs and found a “bulk quantity” of fentanyl.
