    Victim recovered from Elk River in Webster County

    WEBSTER SPRINGS, W.Va. (WBOY) – First responders from multiple counties helped search for a victim in the Elk River in Webster County on Friday.

    According to a Facebook post from the Summersville Fire Department, dive teams from Summersville and Richwood were called to were called to help the Webster Springs Volunteer Fire Department search for a possible victim in the Elk River early Friday morning.

    According to the post, multiple small boats from the assisting departments were used to thoroughly search the suspected area, and the divers were able to find the victim.

    No information about the victim or details about the location or incident were released.

    “Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim’s family,” the Summersville Fire Department said in the post.
