    Braxton County High School releasing early for gas odor

    SUTTON, W.Va. (WBOY) — Braxton County High School students were evacuated to Braxton County Middle School Tuesday morning and will be released at 10:30 a.m.

    Braxton County Schools said on social media that the odor of gas was detected on the top floor of the high school, and students and staff were evacuated as a precaution. The gas was shut off and Dominion Gas was contacted.

    In a later post , the school district said that Braxton County High School students will be released at 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 15. Dominion Gas personnel are at the school investigating.
