BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (WBOY) — Nonprofits across north central West Virginia will now be taking their advertising to the roadways thanks to a local business.

On Tuesday, Central Supply Company held a ribbon cutting in Bridgeport to showcase five of its new trucks that have been wrapped to showcase nonprofits across the region. These nonprofits include Wings of Hope, Mon Health, West Virginia Interscholastic Cycling League, Humane Society of Harrison County and Cure CJD.

“So, the main focus is really to raise awareness of these organizations. So, we want people to see the wraps, see the trucks and be curious. Be interested to say ‘I want to learn more, let me look that up, is this something I want to volunteer with? Is this something I want to donate to myself?’ It’s really about building that awareness in the community of what these organizations are, what they do and why they need support,” President of WV Companies for CRH Ben Sevald said.

Not only were the trucks wrapped in honor of the hard work these organizations put into the community, but they also all walked away with a monetary donation from Central Supply.

“It’s a really great feeling to have more notice, hopefully get more animals out there, get them adopted, get more people in volunteering, anything like that,” Kennel Technician with Humane Society of Harrison County Ashley Higginbotham said.
