FAIRVIEW, W.Va. (WBOY) — Fairview Elementary and Middle School students have not reported to school yet this week after there were two water line breaks.

Marion County Schools Superintendent told 12 News that after being closed on Oct. 14 for Columbus Day and on Oct. 15 and 16 for water issues, those two schools will also be closed on Thursday, Oct. 17.

Marion County Schools shared on its social media that a water main break at the school’s well on Monday led to the closure on Tuesday. On Tuesday, the school district said that there was a second water line leak.

It said in another post on Wednesday that there are still water leak issues in the schools and both schools are still under a boil water advisory. Going forward, Marion County Schools said it will keep making decisions on a daily basis as it continues getting information about the situation from the Town of Fairview.

Although students have not reported to Fairview Elementary or Middle, staff have reported as usual.

Also in Marion County, Jayenne Elementary School released early on Wednesday due to water issues.
