New gourmet apple and popcorn shop opens in Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (WBOY) — As cooler fall temperatures finally grace north central West Virginia, a new business in Bridgeport is offering seasonal favorites to locals.

Crunch Time Gourmet Popcorn and Apples opened on Main Street next to Dairy Queen on Wednesday and sells sweets like candied nuts, candy apples and various flavors of popcorn including buttered, caramel, cheddar and Oreo.

Owner Lindsey Lefevre has been making candied apples for years and decided that she wanted to sell her apples and pair them with a different treat, so she learned how to make popcorn.

“We’ll have all kinds of flavors every week. We’ll switch them out, we have different apples every week too. We also have four different types of candy nuts. Everything’s made fresh, every morning,” Lefevre said.

If you feel like stopping by and having a treat, Crunch Time’s hours are from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
