Multi-car wreck shuts down intersection in Nutter Fort; 1 hospitalized

NUTTER FORT, W.Va. (WBOY) — One person was taken to United Hospital Center Thursday following a vehicle accident in Nutter Fort that temporarily shut down a major intersection.

According to officials with the Harrison County 911 Center, at about 8:02 p.m., multiple vehicles collided at the intersection of Buckhannon Pike and S Bypass Road/WV 98. Crews on the scene temporarily shut down the intersection of the two roads, as well as the southbound lane of Buckhannon Pike.

911 Officials told 12 News the intersection and Buckhannon Pike had reopened as of 9 p.m.

Crews with the Nutter Fort Fire Department, the Nutter Fort Police Department and Nutter Fort EMS were alerted to this call.
