Affordable housing project completed in Scranton

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The completion of a new affordable rental property took center stage in Scranton Friday.

Rent at this home will be no more than 30 percent of a person`s income, with utilities factored in.

The property is an energy-efficient single-family home that includes 4 bedrooms and 2 and a half bathrooms.

The project was made possible from funding received from the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency through a grant.

This property is just the start of affordable housing units available through Scranton Lackawanna Resources Development Corporation.
