Firehouse Subs helps Jessup Firefighters

JESSUP, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — In Lackawanna County, you can grab some food while helping local first responders.

Firehouse Subs has brought its food truck to Jessup Hose Company #2 in Jessup.

Starting Monday, anyone can grab a bite and raise money for the department.

Fundraisers like this one help the volunteer fire department purchase lifesaving equipment.

“Carnival and then we have a raffle in September and then also a wine festival this year. So this year we will have four events that involve food, something, any kind of community outreach,” said Firehouse Subs Food Truck Event chairman Richard Troiani.

The Firehouse Subs Food Truck will be parked outside of the Jessup Hose Company #2 along Hill Street in Jessup through Saturday, and they are open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
