SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A local animal shelter partnered with another local business to help raise money and get some four-legged friends a new home.

Saturday afternoon Thirteen Realm in Scranton hosted a fundraiser for Griffin Pond Animal Shelter. They offered tattoos and raffled aftercare gift baskets with all the proceeds going to the shelter.

“Just giving back to the animals I rescued a bunch myself so just being able to give an opportunity for the animals it’s like a big thing so I was excited for it,” said Dale Cunningham the owner of Thirteen Realm.

This is a cause that’s near and dear to Cunningham because he’s giving several animals a place to call home.

“All of our cats are rescues so all of our cats were either found or we took them from a rescue so I have about five cats that are all rescues,” says Cunningham.

They are also very grateful for the support that they have been receiving from the community.

“Absolutely it’s the top of our list. It’s literally the community the support we have from the community is priceless,” continued Torba.
