Watsontown River Bridge to close in Union, Northumberland Counties

EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — A heads up for drivers in Union and Northumberland Counties, starting Monday, the Watsontown River Bridge will be closed for a bridge preservation project.

PennDOT officials say Brimmer Avenue will be closed between Route 15 in White Deer Township, Union County, and Elm Street in Northumberland County.

Officials say this project will cost more than $4,300,000.

A detour has been put in place and work is expected to last until June 16.
