    Man sentenced, overdose of heroin laced with fentanyl kills woman

    HONESDALE, WAYNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man has been sentenced for involuntary manslaughter after a woman died from an overdose of heroin laced with fentanyl.

    According to the Wayne County District Attorney, 57-year-old Todd Wignall, was sentenced after pleading guilty to involuntary manslaughter and delivery of heroin laced with fentanyl.

    Police say on January 11, 2023, Wignall brought drugs to a residence, where he and a woman, Amanda Parry ingested the drugs.

    Perry died from an overdose while Wignall also overdosed but survived.

    Wignall was sentenced to 6 to 13 years. He has been incarcerated at the Wayne County Correctional Facility since his arrest in 2023.

    Now that they got him locked up, they need to go after whoever he hit the drugs from. I say 6-13 years isn’t much for doing drugs and killing somebody and almost killing yourself

    I may have an unpopular opinion for 6-12 years seems insanely harsh considering they both were out seeking the substance ... he brought it and gave her the stuff that unknowingly and non maliciousky caused her to die because he also consumed it snd died (almost) himself.
