WILLIAMSPORT, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Local law enforcement hoping to crack down on the area’s growing drug problem. On Thursday, they displayed plenty of evidence thanks in part to help from the post office and drug-sniffing dogs.

At a news conference Thursday afternoon in Williamsport, law enforcement officials announced the arrest of two dangerous drug dealers, and they say they plan to continue to tirelessly fight the ongoing crisis in Lycoming County.

“We don’t care if you’re at the bottom of the chain, if you’re at the top, we’re trying to find you and we’re trying to get you out of Lycoming County,” said Lycoming County Chief Detective Thomas Ungard.

Lycoming County District Attorney Tom Marino announced the arrest of 36-year-old Nicholas Etumnu from Philadelphia and 31-year-old Anthony Stockman from Williamsport.

You can watch the full press conference below.

The two men are accused of selling large amounts of fentanyl, crack cocaine, and meth across Lycoming County.

“These people are heartless, the only thing they care about is making money, and we are gonna make their life as miserable as possible,” District Attorney Marino explained.

These arrests were made through a joint law enforcement effort and some help from the US Postal Service.

Using drug dogs and other methods, police were able to track down Etumnu and Stockman.

Now, they are sending a strong message to anyone dealing drugs in their county.

“We are canvassing the county. We’re not messing around. We’re giving up nights and weekends when we could be with our family, but we’re out there, and when we take you off, it’s just not gonna be a slap on the wrist, you’re gonna spend a whole lotta time in prison,” District Attorney Marino stated.

District Attorney Marino says the fight won’t stop there. Any dealers who can be connected to fentanyl-related deaths will face the charge of first-degree murder.

At Friday’s news conference, District Attorney Marino also stressed the importance of intervention at a young age to keep kids away from drugs and dealing.

He says a juvenile rehab facility is in the very early stages, and that his office is working to bring back positive anti-drug programs and camps to kids.
