    2 birds, 4 dogs, 4 people displaced after Wilkes-Barre fire

    WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Several people and their pets are displaced after a fire in Wilkes-Barre.

    A home on Madison Street started burning just after 12:00 a.m. Crews had it out quickly.

    Turning tragedy into positivity by helping kids through grief

    Four people, along with their four dogs and two birds, made it out safely and they are getting help from the Red Cross.

    The Wilkes-Barre Fire Inspector found that the fire was due to extension cords and power strips not being used correctly causing it to overheat.
