Most dangerous time of day to drive in Pennsylvania

EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — New research has revealed the most dangerous times to drive in Pennsylvania based on a number of deadly crashes.

The study by personal injury lawyer Scott Vicknair examined the latest data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to see which times of the day saw the most fatal crashes in each state between 2017 and 2022.

In Pennsylvania, the study found between 3:00 p.m. and 3:59 p.m. is the most dangerous time to drive in the state.

The study states this is because 416 of the 6481 fatal crashes recorded between 2017 and 2022 occurred at that time, which is 6.42%, higher than any other time.

The table below shows the most commonly occurring times to be most dangerous across the 50 states:
