SUNBURY, NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Two people were brought in for questioning following a fatal shooting in Northumberland County earlier Thursday.

Sunbury Police say they took in two suspects for questioning related to Thursday’s shooting outside the Northumberland County Courthouse.
28/22 News is waiting for further details on the identities of the two men brought in for questioning.
Dayveon Creel of Sunbury was killed as a result of the shooting.
The chief just spoke with 28/22 News and he says this remains an active investigation and no further information will be released at this time.
Things unfolded around 12:00 p.m. Thursday.
Crews were dispatched to the scene of 147 Market Street in Sunbury for a reported gunshot victim.
Upon arriving they found Creel with what appeared to be a single gunshot wound.
Officials identify man killed in Northumberland County deadly shooting He was transported to Geisinger Medical Center Danville and died from the gunshot wound to the chest around 1:00 p.m. Thursday, according to the Montour County Coroner.
“At this point, we have two suspects in today’s shooting that took place on Market Street in Sunbury at this point these two will be processed and remanded to Northumberland County Prison for the night for morning arraignment,” said Chief Travis Bremigen.
The courthouse will be closed on Friday. Officials cannot say if the shooting was connected to any court proceedings on Thursday.
A press conference is anticipated for Friday at 1:00 p.m.
