    Valve issue caused road closure in Scranton

    SCRANTON, LACKWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— A portion of Olive Street was closed after a valve came off of an eight-inch main in Scranton Friday afternoon.

    Scranton Fire Chief Jack Davis said crews were called to Olive Street just before 3:00 p.m. after a geyser erupted along Olive Street.

    Traffic advisory during Donald Trump’s visit to Wilkes-Barre Twp.

    Olive Street was closed between Providence Road and Capouse Avenue, but has since been reopened.

    Firefighters were on-scene watching for potential flooding.

    Pennsylvania American Water states that services are being restored to all 32 customers.
