EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — A word of warning from Pennsylvania State Police after several people have fallen victim to a current scam.

Scammers will contact you by phone and explain that your loved one, typically a grandchild, is in trouble and currently in jail.

The scammers will then ask for cash promising your loved one to be released.
