Troopers investigate restaurant burglary in Luzerne County

ROSS TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Troopers say they are investigating a burglary that happened overnight at a restaurant in Luzerne County.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police on August 21 around 11:00 p.m., Payton’s Place Restaurant was burglarized overnight.

Officials say suspects forced entry through the front door and broke into the cash register, stealing the cash inside.

State police note they are encouraging surrounding businesses to secure their premises and review their footage for any suspicious activity.
