    Lackawanna County pools, lakes, adjust hours amid lifeguard shortage

    LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Pools and lakes in Lackawanna County are adjusting their hours.

    This is due to a lifeguard shortage with students returning to campus.

    American Red Cross impacted by Hurricane Debby

    Lakes at Lackawanna County’s Merli-Sarnoski, Covington, and Aylesworth parks are now closed to swimming.

    The pool and splash pad at McDade Park will be closing next Monday for the season.
