Search for man wanted on two warrants

LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police say they are searching for a man wanted on warrants in two different states.

According to the Lycoming Regional Police Department, on September 4 around 5:00 a.m., officers were called regarding four people wearing all black and walking alone on Bloomingrove Road near Factory Road in Hepburn Township.

Officers searched the area but could not locate them until 9:30 a.m. a patrol car noticed four people matching the description and coming from Williamsport to Canton on foot.

After confirming their travels the group identified themselves before continuing north in the 3300 block of Lycoming Creek Road in Old Lycoming Township, police noted.

Investigators say it was later learned, one man in the group, Matthew A. Ringhiser, falsely identified himself to the police and there are warrants out for his arrest in two different states.
