    School threat causes Monroe County school district to close

    BRODHEADSVILLE, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — State Police conducted a sweep on Thursday in relation to a threat called in Thursday morning.

    According to a state police release, a Pennsylvania State Police K-9 Unit conducted a sweep at Pleasant Valley School District in relation to the threat, but the results turned up negative

    State police investigated a school threat at a high school in the Pleasant Valley School District Thursday morning.

    According to PSP, on September 5 troopers were notified by the Pleasant Valley School District regarding a “Safe 2 Say” entry involving a threat at the high school.

    School officials say due to safety concerns, Pleasant Valley School District will move to a remote instructional day.

    $5,000 stolen from Abercrombie & Fitch leads to arrest

    Students in grades 3-12 will learn synchronous instruction while students in grades K-2 will complete work through SeeSaw, Packets, and live support sessions with their teacher, the district stated.

    The investigation remains ongoing.
