    Monroe County Coroner releases details after deadly Jackson Township crash

    JACKSON TOWNSHIP, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Monroe County Coroner released details on a Jackson Township crash that left a man dead.

    Officials say crews were called to the intersection of Cays Road and Mountain Springs Drive at 11:07 p.m.

    Monroe County Coroner Thomas A. Yanac explained in a release the Monroe County Coroner’s Office was called to the crash and 45-year-old Stephen LaClair from Palmerton was declared dead by a Monroe County Coroner’s Deputy at 12:11 a.m. after suffering multiple blunt force injuries in a car crash.

    One person transported after a stabbing in Scranton

    Authorities say LaClair was the driver of the car and the cause of death is accidental.

    No autopsy is scheduled and Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the incident, according to the coroner’s office.
