    Police release details after shooting near Movies 14 in Wilkes-Barre

    WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police were on the scene of an active investigation for a reported shooting near Movies 14 in Wilkes-Barre.

    Multiple police cruisers and emergency vehicles could be seen in the area of Movies 14 Monday around 3:40 p.m. Police have shut down East Northampton Street.

    Emergency crews were seen giving CPR to a possible shooting victim near the theater’s entrance.

    Officials say in a release sent out Monday the Wilkes-Barre City Patrol Division were called to the area for a reported shooting and found a male gunshot wound victim on the sidewalk.

    PD: Man uses Uber to distribute various drugs

    The victim was taken to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center for further treatment of their injuries, authorities say.

    Police explain that the area was secured and processed by the Wilkes-Barre Detective Division and the State Police FSU UNIT Wilkes-Barre Barracks.

    The Wilkes-Barre Detective Division and the Luzerne County Detective Division are investigating the incident, according to officials.

    That’s why I don’t take my kids to that theater, the area is trash, just look at what’s walking and driving around that town, probably ANOTHER drug deal gone bad
