Lancaster Stormers host 14th annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) — The Lancaster Stormers hosted their 14th annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at Clipper Magazine Stadium Sunday.

According to lancasterstairclimb.com , the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) sponsors 9/11 Memorial Stair Climbs across the country to remember the firefighters who laid down their lives on September 11, 2001.

The NFFF says this marks the 14th year for the Lancaster 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. Firefighters from Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, and Virginia participated in the march on September 8.

During the event, each participant climbs the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center to not only remember the 343 fallen FDNY first responders, but symbolically complete their heroic journey to save others.
