    PD: Woman goes on roof to avoid arrest, arson charges

    MAHANOY CITY, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A woman being served with an arrest warrant for arson tried to flee police by going onto a roof, officers stated.

    According to the Mahanoy City Police Department, officers went to a home to serve a felony warrant on 34-year-old Chanily Ferran Navedo of Mahanoy City.

    Arrest made in Dunmore Elementary Center death investigation

    Police say Navedo was being arrested for an arson incident that happened on September 2.

    When officers arrived at the residence they said Navedo tried to avoid police by going on the roof of the building but she was eventually taken into custody.

    Navedo faces three accounts of arson and additional charges for fleeing police.
