MONTOURSVILLE, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Pennsylvania State Police Montoursville will host a free license plate return event to replace peeling or unreadable plates.

State Police and Representative Hamm’s office will host the event on October 10, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the PSP Montoursville barracks at 899 Cherry St. Montoursville, PA.

According to a release, license plates that are unreadable or peeling will be replaced for free. All paperwork will be done and mailed at the event at no charge.

Police say the damaged license plates must be attached to the vehicle to be replaced, and attendees must have their current registration card and an unexpired Pennsylvania driver’s license to get the plates replaced.
