EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — A Monroe County man has been sentenced after trafficking drugs and possessing a firearm.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that 60-year-old Michael Anthony Boomer from Blakeslee was sentenced to 41 months in prison for selling cocaine and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Officials say Boomer pleaded guilty to the charges in February 2024.

According to U.S. Attorney Karam, Boomer sold cocaine to a confidential informant on multiple occasions leading investigators to get a federal search warrant for his residence in Blakeslee.

Boomer will serve 41 months in federal prison, pay a $200 special assessment, and be placed on three three-year supervised release.
