BLOOMSBURG, COLUMBIA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Bloomsburg Fair begins Friday, and police warn of traffic changes and road closures during the fair.

The Bloomsburg Fair starts on September 19 and continues through Saturday, September 28.

Police warn residents to use alternate routes to avoid fair traffic and use caution while driving through town.

Officers note the following changes in traffic patterns:

    • Main Street (SR11) traffic westbound (traveling towards Danville), will not be permitted to make a left-hand turn into the Fairgrounds.
    • West 6th Street between Market Street and Railroad Street will be transitioned to 2 way traffic for the fair week only.
    • Orchard Street will transition to one-way traffic for fair week only.
    • Traffic will not be permitted on Fort McClure Blvd. near the fairgrounds entrance.

Attendees traveling to the fairgrounds parking lot must use the entrance off of Main Street.

Those traveling to the Barn at Boone’s Dam for an event must use Fort McClure Blvd by the river or Reading Street to access that route, according to Bloomsburg Police.
