Shooting investagtion underway in Lycoming County

WILLIAMSPORT, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A shooting investigation is underway in Lycoming County after shots were fired Saturday afternoon.

According to the Williamsport Bureau of Police on Saturday around noon officers were dispatched to a report of shots fired in the 600 block of Second Avenue.

Upon arrival, police say, they made contact with several witnesses who said they saw a male who was walking on the street pointing a handgun and firing multiple shots toward a black sedan that was driving alongside him on the road.

The suspect and the vehicle both fled the scene after, police say.

As stated by officials there is no indication that any victims suffered any injuries.
