LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— 28/22 News confirmed that Luzerne County Manager Romilda Crocamo sent an email to county council Friday evening informing them that she will deploy drop boxes but still has grave concerns about safety.

The letter from the Attorney General was a factor in her decision to allow the four drop boxes.

Right now, it is unclear how this decision will affect a scheduled court hearing on Monday.

The hearing is connected to a lawsuit filed by by the ACLU —challenging Crocamo’s authority to make the decision about drop boxes.

28/22 News is working this story with more in the days ahead.
