    Over 600 coats and counting picked up in Wilkes-Barre after Coats for Kids campaign

    EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — Just in time for the sudden chilly weather, more than 600 coats that 28/22 News collected for Coats for Kids were picked up on Thursday.

    On October 1, 28/22 News held the Third Annual Coats for Kids Campaign at multiple collection points in our coverage area as part of our Children’s First Initiative,

    Coats for Kids

    They are now headed to be professionally cleaned and sanitized before being handed out to kids in need in our area.

    Donations are still coming in, so we don’t have an exact total of how many coats were donated yet, but we thank you for your generosity.
