    Wyoming Area Secondary Center dismisses students due to gas odor

    WEST PITTSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A school in Luzerne County is dismissing early after officials say the smell of gas could be detected.

    According to a post from the Wyoming Area Intermediate Centers Facebook page , the Secondary Center will be evacuating and dismissing students early on Friday after the gas smell was noted.

    The school states that students were dismissed starting at 11:45 a.m.

    The school asks that the St. Anthonys Church parking lot not be crowded so students can be effectively dismissed.
