    13-year-old arrested after stabbing at Wendy’s in Scranton

    SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police say they arrested a 13-year-old after he stabbed another teen at Wendy’s in Scranton Tuesday afternoon.

    According to the Scranton Police Department, around 5:00 p.m. officers were called to the 900 block of Wyoming Avenue for a report of a 13-year-old stabbed.

    Police learned from witnesses that the suspect fled the scene but he was quickly arrested.

    Through further investigation, officers stated the suspect was at Wendy’s to fight the victim, leading to him pulling out a knife and stabbing the victim.

    Man wanted for allegedly hitting two motorcyclists

    Detectives say they found the weapon discarded inside the restaurant.

    The teen has been charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, terrorist threats, possessing an instrument of crime, recklessly endearing another person, and harassment.

    The victim was hospitalized, suffering non-life-threatening injuries while the suspect was taken to a detention facility in North Hampton County.
