One dead, one flown to hospital after car into tractor-trailer

KLINE TOWNSHIP, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — One is dead after a car crashed into a tractor-trailer in Kline Township.

According to the Schuylkill County Communication Center, a call came in around 12:30 a.m. for a car into a tractor-trailer with entrapment on the 1200 block of Mile Hill Road in Kline Township.

The Schuylkill County Deputy Coroner Doc Moylan stated that 67-year-old Jeffery Urban drove into the back of the tractor-trailer that was parked on the side of Route 309 and went directly into the  Interstate Commerce Commission bar.

Urban was speculated to have fallen asleep behind the wheel officials note.

Deputy Coroner Moylan says that Urban was pronounced dead at the scene and his wife was flown to Lehigh Valley Allentown.
