FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A Pennsylvania man was arrested Tuesday after Florence County deputies found about $30,000 in counterfeit Apple products in his vehicle, the sheriff’s office said.

Umberto Cardinale, 37, was charged with transportation and distribution of counterfeit goods. He was booked into the Florence County Detention Center.

Deputies made a traffic stop on Cardinale’s vehicle for speeding on Interstate 95, according to the sheriff’s office. He gave consent to search his vehicle, where deputies found $30,000 in counterfeit Apple products, which are trademark protected.

Cardinale remains in the Florence County Detention Center where he awaits a bond hearing.
