    1 dead, suspect wanted after shooting at Georgetown County plant, deputies say

    GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Authorities are looking for a 20-year-old Williamsburg County man after he allegedly shot and killed a co-worker Monday night at the SafeRack manufacturing facility near Andrews in Georgetown County.

    Ethan O’Neil Brown of Sandy Pine Loop in the Nesmith community is 5-foot-10 and weighs about 165 pounds. He is facing charges of murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

    Georgetown County deputies the shooting was the result of an ongoing dispute between Brown and the victim. Brown was last seen driving a BMW sedan away from the SafeRack facility.

    The victim was treated by emergency medical personnel before being taken to a local hospital, deputies said. The person’s name has not been released.

    Investigators have been collecting evidence, interviewing witnesses and reviewing video footage since the shooting, deputies said. No other employees were hurt in the incident.

    SafeRack manufactures truck and railcar loading platform systems, maintenance work platforms, rolling platforms and related safety and fall protection products, according to the company’s website .
