CONWAY, S.C. (WBTW) — A Louisiana man who was charged in connection with one of several bomb threats at Carolina Forest High School in April pleaded guilty on Tuesday, the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office said.

Trenton Alexander Brown, 19, of Baton Rouge, pleaded guilty to first-offense making a bomb threat or conveying false information about a bomb threat, according to the solicitor’s office. He was scheduled to appear for a bond hearing on Tuesday when he decided to plead guilty after spending 94 days in jail.

Brown admitted after he was extradited to Horry County to calling in the threat, according to an arrest warrant. Judge Benjamin Culbertson presided over the hearing and sentenced Brown under the Youthful Offender Act not to exceed six years in prison suspended to 18 months probation. He was not given credit for time served.

Brown was also ordered to not have contact with Horry County Schools and his supervision will be transferred to Louisiana upon his release.
