MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – The Carolina Forest Panthers have been a perennial power in our area under head coach Marc Morris. The largest school in our area won the Region 5-5A crown last season and advanced to the 3rd round of the SCHSL Class 5A playoffs.

They will have to replace 2 big pieces of their offense with Ethan Hamilton and Kalil Johnson now graduated. Kamren Long and Patrick Mullen are battling to start at quarterback and Christopher Livingston will provide leadership at that running back spot.

The Panthers always pride themselves on their offensive and defensive line play and that will be a strength moving forward in 2024. They will join the new Region 6-5A, dubbed the “Beach Region” with Conway, North Myrtle Beach, Myrtle Beach, Socastee, and St. James.

2023 record: 9-4, 4-0 in Region 5-5A, lost in 3rd round of the playoffs
Head Coach: Marc Morris – 10th season
2024 first game: Friday, August 23 vs. West Brunswick (NC) – 7:30pm
