FLORENCE, S.C. (WBTW) — The Florence Center is set to welcome arena football’s South Carolina Ravens in the spring, according to a news release.

The Ravens, one of the newest teams in the Professional Arena Independent Association, will begin playing exhibition games before their season kicks off in April 2025. The team plans to launch a variety of youth and community outreach programs aimed at inspiring and engaging Florence residents.

“We’re not just bringing arena football to Florence; we’re bringing a community-focused organization that aims to make a positive impact both on and off the field,” Ravens CEO Andre Duncan said in the release. “Our goal is to create lasting connections with the people of Florence and to support the city through various charitable and educational initiatives.”

The PAIA also has teams in Macon, Georgia; Valdosta, Georgia; Dalton, Georgia; Savannah, Georgia; Lakeland, Florida and Wake Forest, North Carolina.
