    81-year-old dead after multi-vehicle rollover crash in Carolina Forest

    HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — An 81-year-old involved in a multi-vehicle rollover crash along U.S. Highway 501 on Wednesday died from injuries sustained in the wreck, authorities said.

    William Jacobsson died at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center on Friday, the Horry County Coroner’s Office said.

    South Carolina Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Lena Butler said Jacobssen was driving one of the vehicles involved, and a passenger was hurt.

    Butler said one other injury was reported. The incident happened around 10 a.m. along Carolina Forest Boulevard near Quinn Road. Officials said three people were taken to hospitals while 10 others signed medical transport waivers.
