MARLBORO COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — The Marlboro County Coroner’s Office has identified a 63-year-old pickup truck driver who died Thursday afternoon in a crash on Ebenezer Road.

David Broadwater of Wallace died in the crash, Coroner Tim Brown said.

Troopers responded at about 3 p.m. after the 2006 Toyota pickup crashed about 7 miles north of Bennettsville, Master Trooper Brandon Bolt said. Broadwater was the only person in the truck.

The truck was traveling south when it went off the right side of the road, Bolt said. Broadwater then overcorrected, causing the truck to go off the left side of the road and into a ditch.

No additional information was immediately available. Count on News13 for updates.
