2 sought in Florence County arson investigation

FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Florence County deputies have released surveillance photos of two people possibly connected to an August arson investigation.

The fire happened at about 8:50 a.m. on Aug. 17 at the Brookgreen Pantry & Grill on Mechanicsville Road. The two people shown in the photos are considered “persons of interest” in the case, deputies said.

Deputies have not released any details about the fire or their investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to call investigators at 843-665-2121, extension 80165 or to “Submit-A-Tip” on the sheriff’s office’s free app for Apple or Android devices. Tips can also be provided by calling Crime Stoppers of the Pee Dee at 888-CRIME-SC.

There is a reward of up to $1,000 from Crime Stoppers for information that leads to an arrest. Tips can remain anonymous.
