FLORENCE, S.C. (WBTW) — A 52-year-old Marion County man has been sentenced to nearly 10 years in federal prison for distributing crack cocaine.

Mark McGarret Lewis Mullins pleaded guilty to five counts of distribution of crack cocaine in U.S. District Court in Florence. He was sentenced to 110 months by Judge Sherri A. Lydon, who also ordered six years of supervision after his release from prison. There is no parole in the federal criminal justice system.

According to prosecutors, Lewis distributed crack cocaine to an informant on five separate occasions in April 2019.

His criminal record also includes two prior federal convictions — one for bank fraud and one for possession with intent to distribute five grams or more of crack cocaine — along with two other state drug convictions for distribution and conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine.

The case was investigated by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Marion County Combined Drug Unit, and the Mullins Police Department.
