DARLINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — The Darlington County Coroner’s Office is asking for help finding the family of a 69-year-old migrant worker who died last week.

Coroner Todd Hardee took to Facebook to ask for help finding the family of Gonzalo Ramirez, who died on Friday. His last known address was in Winter Haven, Florida.

Ramirez worked as a temporary farm assistant and is from Mexico. Hardee said his remains will be buried in Darlington County on Oct. 6 in the event that he’s not claimed.

“Let it be known the coroner has exhausted all other means to locate his family,” the Facebook post reads.

Anyone with information is asked to call the coroner’s office at 843-393-5640.
