    Coroner identifies 35-year-old killed in Florence nightclub shooting

    FLORENCE, S.C. (WBTW) — The Florence County Coroner’s Office has identified a 35-year-old man who was killed in a nightclub shooting early Saturday morning.

    Robert Fields of Florence died in the shooting, Coroner Keith von Lutcken said. An autopsy is scheduled at the Medical University of South Carolina.

    It happened about 2 a.m. Saturday at Absolem Hookah Lounge at 1931 Second Loop Road. When officers arrived, witnesses were trying to help Fields.

    Officers began to assist until EMS arrived and transported Fields to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

    As of this writing, no arrests have been made in the shooting. Count on News13 for updates.
